As a HCSO School Resource Deputy (SRD) you’ll be a HCSO Patrol Deputy on special assignment in the School Resource Unit. In addition to your regular law enforcement duties, you’ll serve as a mentor, conduct safety presentations on youth related issues, investigate criminal incidents that occur on campus, and most importantly, help keep our students and schools safe.
During the summer months, you’ll serve on a patrol shift team. Experienced HCSO SRDs can serve on other special assignment teams like SWAT, Marine Patrol, Drone, etc.
STARTING SALARY
$54,104 + $4,160 special assignment pay
REQUIREMENTS
Must be 21 Years of Age or Older
Have a High School Diploma or GED
Meet the requirements to be P.O.S.T. compliant
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have at least one year of full-time service as a Law Enforcement Officer
