PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a HCSO Patrol Deputy you’ll often be the first point of contact between the HCSO and the community. It will be important that you establish a good rapport and communication with the citizens you’ll serve. You’ll enforce laws, answer calls in your assigned district, and support the needs of our community. At the HCSO, you will be able to engage in pursuits and will have supportive leadership that encourages traditional policing.

Experienced HCSO Patrol Deputies can serve on special assignment units like SWAT, Marine Patrol, Drone, etc. Serving as a Patrol Deputy sets you up for success for a growing career in law enforcement.

STARTING SALARY

$54,104

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 21 Years of Age or Older  
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED 
  • Meet the requirements to be P.O.S.T. compliant 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Complete all steps in the HCSO Hiring Process

Corrections Deputies are tasked with the safety and security of the employee and inmates at the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.

Judicial Security Deputes oversee the safety and security of hundreds citizens and employees who conduct business in the Hamilton County Courthouse, Hamilton County Courts Building, and the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

HCSO School Resource Deputies are Patrol Deputies on assignment in the School Resource Unit and are some of the most recognizable personnel in our community due to their daily presence in our public schools.
